POLICYTuition is due the first class of each month. Withdrawals must be reported to the office or you will continue to be responsible for monthly tuition (this is the only way the school has of knowing that there is a space open for a new student in a class). A $10 late fee will be charged for payments made after the 15th of the month and for returned checks. Tuition remains the same each month regardless of holidays, extra classes, or classes missed for inclement weather. You are guaranteed a minimum of 33 classes per season (9 months). Should we fail to meet that minimum, we will offer “make-good” classes or refunds. No refunds or deductions in tuition rates will be made for absences regardless of the reason. When corresponding classes are available, classes may be “made-good”. However, the school is under no obligation to provide “make-good” classes for absences that are not the fault of the school. It is studio policy to hold delivery of recital costumes for any student with a past due balance on their account. Statements will be sent before costumes are delivered. Please have your child on time for class and be prompt in picking up your child at the end of class. Neither the school nor its staff can be responsible for students left beyond their class time. Prior arrangements must be made with the teacher if you expect to be late for pick-up. If you pick up your child late from the last class of the day, there will be a $5 charge after the first 10 minutes you are late and an additional $5 charge for each 15 minutes following. Payment is to be made to the teacher for her time spent babysitting your child. No chewing gum, cough drops, or food are allowed in the class. Water must be in a spill-proof container. Female dancers should wear their hair in a bun (or pulled back from their face if their hair is too short for a bun) to every class unless otherwise directed by the teacher. Please see the dress code for proper attire. Parents are always welcome to express comments or concerns. However, to avoid delaying the start of another class, it may be best to request that the teacher or "Miss" Kathy contact you at home. You can also leave notes in the payment box for any staff member. Be assured that if there is any reason a teacher feels she needs to discuss your child’s progress, she will contact you. Parents, relatives and friends are ALWAYS welcome to observe classes as long as you first ask the teacher if it will be convenient, and if care is given not to disrupt the class. DRESS CODEDance teaches discipline. In the same way an athlete has a uniform, a dancer has a dress code. Please help us teach your child this discipline by helping them follow the dress code.
