Talitha James

Talitha began her dance training at the age of three at Total Performance under the direction of Claire Friday Sutowski. She joined En Pointe School of Dance in 1998 to continue her ballet training and shortly thereafter began taking jazz with Robin Hillyer. In 1999, she joined Praise in Motion and stayed until 2003, when she left to focus more on theatrical pursuits.

In 2004, Talitha enrolled at Shorter College in Rome, Georgia to pursue a degree in Musical Theatre. She studied under the direction of Georgie Coker-Hall, where she took tap, jazz, and ballet. In 2006, Talitha transferred to The University of Georgia. She is currently pursuing a degree there in Classical Culture with a Minor in Dance.

Talitha has been working with children for several years in many different capacities: as a demonstrator and substitute teacher for En Pointe School of Dance, gymnastics instructor, preschool teacher at 12 Stone Church, and currently as an instructor of Praise and Worship, Jazz / Theatre Dance, and Creative Movement for Discipleship Through Dance.

Talitha lives in Athens during the school year and in Lilburn during the summer.
